The Invisalign® aligner system straightens teeth using a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner approximately every week, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week, gradually moving towards the projected final position.
By using Invisalign® clear aligners, achieving the smile you always dreamed of doesn’t have to be a big deal. The traditional route to correcting issues such as crooked teeth, gaps and crowded mouths has long been visible braces. However, the Invisalign® system uses no brackets or wires - it is clear, removable and comfortable, so it won’t interfere with your appearance or your life.
We know that a straight smile often means a healthy smile. Not only will Invisalign® clear dental aligners for adults straighten your teeth, they will also improve your overall dental health at the same time!
Open bite often occurs when some teeth are unable to make physical contact with the opposing teeth for a proper bite.
Deep bite or overbite occurs when the upper teeth bite over the lower teeth.
Gaps between teeth can occur with abnormal continued growth of the jawbone. Missing teeth can also cause the surrounding teeth to shift due to extra space, creating gaps in your teeth.
When you don't have enough room in your jaw for your teeth to fit normally, the teeth can bunch up, overlap and twist, sometimes getting pushed to the front or the back.
Underbite can occur when the lower teeth protrude past the front teeth.
Crossbite can occur when the upper and lower jaws are both misaligned.
Step 1
To start your journey to a new straighter, brighter smile, simply contact us to book an Invisalign® Smile Assessment.
Step 2
On the day of your appointment, we can create your Smile Visualisation using our state-of-the-art 3D Itero imaging scanner. This procedure is completely non-invasive, pain-free and takes just a few minutes.
You will be able to see the results of your scan immediately, which will show you a simulation of how your new smile could look. You may then discuss this with your dentist to ensure your treatment caters to your own personal smile goals.
We will then revisit how the Invisalign® treatment works, and further discuss treatment times and costs.
Step 3
Prior to starting Invisalign® treatment, one of our dentists will carry out a thorough clinical examination to assess your suitability for treatment, and recommend any necessary pre-Invisalign treatment work, such as a Hygienist clean.
Subject to suitability, the next steps will involve taking photographs of your teeth and smile. These, coupled with your 3D scan, will help our Invisalign technicians to create your treatment plan.
On approval of your treatment plan, we will instruct Invisalign® to manufacture your aligners.
Step 4
Once your Invisalign® clear aligners have been delivered to the Practice, we will get back in touch to arrange an appointment to fit your aligners and explain what you need to know as your teeth straightening begins.
You will be provided with a series of Invisalign® clear aligners to change approximately every week. You will be able to do this at home but we will arrange regular appointments during the course of treatment to check all is progressing as planned.
